In a society seemingly obsessed with size, Letterproeftuin has built the smallest printing workshop ever. The Smallest Printing Company is a mobile printing installation for miniature posters and books. It was especially designed for the International Poster and Graphic Design Festival of Chaumont (France).
A workspace as an exhibition. This graphic playground is a place where craft is mixed with contemporary technique. FiZZZ BZZZZ! (FR), Jordy van den Nieuwendijk (NL) and Nathan Cowen (USA) were invited to come and work with Letterproeftuin prior to the opening of GDFB. Throughout the festival the designers were operational in the workshop, giving the public an opportunity to see how the process works. This time La Bolleur blew it. The city of Eindhoven asked La Bolleur to make something happen in the city centre. Balloon animals were upscaled to monstrous proportions that were hardly manageable. Making it happen turned out to be as much fun as the end result.
A Letterproeftuin exhibition for the International Poster and Graphic Design Festival of Chaumont in collaboration with the Graphic Design Festival Breda we developed a mobile open-source laboratory providing a playground for professional designers.
